The performing arts have always been integrated in the Kids Alley program, starting with skits, puppets, and song. The children are encouraged to express themselves artistically and to use their talents in a positive way. As Kids Alley continued to expand, the program began to instruct interested and dedicated children in song and drama.
Kids Alley Choir was formed to give the children who are interested in learning more in-depth musical techniques as well as supporting one another as a team. Vivian Tan, with a Master of Arts in Music Conducting, instructs the children on songs varying from hymns to contemporary worship. They have performed at the annual Kids Alley Christmas Rally, churches, and other special events. The choir meets on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30pm.
Kids Alley Puppet Team emerged after children showed an interest in manning the puppets that they saw the volunteers manipulate. Puppetry training was established for these children, and now they form the KA Puppet Team! Faithfully performing puppet skits and songs at the KA Saturday Program, The Christmas Rally, our Summer Blitz camps, and other special events, these children bring a whole new dynamic to the expressions and emotions of puppets! Puppets are seen singing, dancing, even playing musical instruments. Not only do our KA children enjoy watching the Puppet Team, but our many volunteers find immense joy and amusement from these lovable puppets that are brought to life by our KA children and teens.
The Worship Arts Team is available to perform at social functions for churches and businesses. If you are interested, or if you have
