Back to School
We encourage children
to have a winning attitude at the Kids Alley weekly programs. Now, we
have a great opportunity to show them
we believe in
them.
This year, 292 children from Kids Alley received new backpacks and school supplies at three Kids Alley Back to School events. 48 children received new school uniforms, school clothes and new shoes. Thanks to many generous donors, child sponsors, churches and businesses who made the back to school program a success for our children. It was a joy to see the children make their backpack selections with their eyes growing bigger and their smiles reaching from ear to ear when they peeked into the new backpacks and saw the new supplies. The children and especially their parents were thankful.
It gives the children a great feeling of confidence when they can walk into
school on the first day with new uniforms, shoes, new book bags and supplies.
I have seen the smiles and children hugging their new book bags with affection
when they are handed out. It is an expression of gratitude that someone cares.
This is an ongoing project throughout the school year. In February of the following
school year, we get ready to replenish the children with fresh supplies, uniforms
and book bags as needed.
For a donation of $75.00, we are able to provide
two sets of uniforms, school shoes, a new book bag and new school supplies
for a child.
The Learning
Center
The program was created as an educational emphasis of Kids Alley.
Many of the children desperately need academic assistance outside of the classroom,
specifically in the areas of reading and math. We currently have forty-seven students,
K through 8th grade, enrolled in the program. Your prayers and financial support
are greatly needed and appreciated.
Summer Blitz
In the summer, 6 weeks of VBS programs and field trips are provided for children from K to 6th grades. The children experience an entertaining morning of bible lessons, crafts, songs and games along with a light breakfast & lunch. During the 6 weeks, children are empowered with new social skills, respect for one another and the importance of walking in God’s love. The merits for this program speak for itself and we need your ongoing financial commitment to support this wonderful ministry.
